According to one Slovak saying, how you spend your New Year’s Day is how you’ll spend your entire year. As a result, New Year’s Day can be the best day of the year as you cram everything you want to do the rest of the year into 24 hours. New Year’s Day becomes a catalog of the new year, a self-fulfilling prophesy,
Here’s my New Year’s Day:
- Toast with a glass of sparkling wine
- Skype my parents to wish them a great 2010
- Sleep
- Listen to U2’s “New Year’s Day”
- Make and enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast as well as lunch and dinner
- Watch the NHL Winter Classic (10 AM Pacific on NBC)
- Read a book
- Listen (and dance) to music
- Take a nap
- Work a little
- Write a blog post
- Hang out with my wife
- Go for a walk
- Take a short bike ride
- Watch a movie
How are you spending your New Year’s Day? What about your 2010?
