Lindsay Sauvé

- Chief Adviser
- Lindsay developed her communications skills at an early age as a writer an editor for her middle and high school newspapers. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and has experience working with non-profits and schools to create and implement communication resources. In addition to a love for the written word, she has passion for health, nutrition and organic gardening. Currently, Lindsay works at Portland Community College, where she advises prospective students at the Allied Health Program, and is a Masters of Public Health candidate at Portland State University. Beyond the books, Lindsay tends to her garden and gourmet cooking, and will have her own organic farm someday. She also finds time to do some writing on the side - visit her new blog Blue Palate.

Heather Schiffke - Cameron Design

- Heather comes from an artistic family and has always pursued creative endeavors. After graduating with a master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles, she founded her own "of the earth" jewelry line while working as a researcher at the National College of Natural Medicine. At Cameron Design, Heather focuses her creative energy on individual client's design needs; to launch the venture Heather enrolled in a Mercy Corps Northwest program for start-ups (see below). In addition to her creative pursuits, she enjoys hanging out with her two basset hounds.

Seth Miller - Spirit Alchemy Design

- Seth has recently completed his master's degree in Consciousness Studies, and has taught physics at a variety of Waldorf High Schools for over five years. He is interested in providing his creativity and technical expertise to further the web presence of non-profits, individuals, and small businesses that may feel daunted by the prospect of 'getting on the internet'. Seth puts the principles of alchemical transformation into action to create clean designs that communicate clearly and effectively. An experienced teacher, Seth provides a helpful hand through the murky waters of modern technology.

- CubeSpace is an innovative workspace community in Portland, Oregon. They provide work stations, cubicles, meeting rooms, and big office amenities to people who would otherwise be working from their homes, coffee shops, or wherever they can set up their laptops or use their cell phones. Services are available on a monthly membership basis or at hourly/daily rates. Find out more about CubeSpace.
- CubeSpace values environmental and interpersonal sustainability. They express their core values by using environmentally friendly vendors and practices, whenever possible. Of course, environmental sustainability is only the beginning. Mercy Corps Northwest

- As Mercy Corps’ local economic development office, Mercy Corps Northwest promotes economic self-sufficiency of low-income individuals in the greater Portland metropolitan area through microenterprise development and self-employment. Mercy Corps Northwest, a nonprofit corporation, assists entrepreneurs in their desire for economic stability through starting or expanding a small business. Find out more about Mercy Corps Northwest.
- Mercy Corps Northwest is our nonprofit of choice. As of June 2008, Semiosis Communications is a member of their volunteer corps, providing new entrepreneurs with marketing education. Check out our calendar for a schedule of workshops; all workshop fees will support the programs of Mercy Corps Northwest.
