As a newcomer to the U.S. and with English as my fourth language – after Slovak, Czech, and Hungarian – I daily learn a new word or phrase or culture tidbit (I’m told the English language will reach 1 million words in April). The phrase that seems most appropriate for the last day of winter: Stay frosty!
A farewell phrase, which, more than others, looks to the future with advice, caution, and encouragement. Keep alert and remain focused; retain common sense and avoid panic.
Tomorrow is equinox, the day when the Sun is right above a point on the Equator and when night and day are equally long. That spells opportunity: goodbye to the dark and cold days of winter, hello to the brighter, warmer days of spring.
Combine the two for a powerful prescription for the coming months (regardless of your zodiac sign).
